Artists gravitating towards QR barcodes before the rest of us? Are you surprised? Isn’t that what artists do?
QR symbols are “phone macros”. When you scan one, something happens in your phone. They initiate a mobile experience.
While QR is new in the States, they’ve been used for years in Japan and elsewhere. There’s more to QR barcodes than simply being embedded in a ad or coupon. There use is limited only by your imagination. If you can do it in a phone, there’s a chance a QR can trigger it.
